Making what you have work better

Most of the time the systems you already pay for can do far more than they're doing. I understand where you're at, identify what changes will make the greatest difference, and give you a clear plan. I can then do the work with you or for you, or you can do it yourself.

Choosing a new system

When there are too many options and no time to work through them, I do the legwork. I deep-dive into understanding what you need the system to do for you, then find the best fit. You get three vetted options and a top recommendation. I include my reasoning, how the options match your needs, and give you clear next steps.

Training you and your team

Having the right systems and setup is one part of the job. Making sure everyone has the knowledge and confidence to use them well is the other part. From documentation to training I help you make the most of what you've invested in.

Planning for where AI fits

There is a lot of pressure and urgency around AI adoption right now, and AI built on top of scattered information tends to make more work rather than less. I support you to plan for and use AI safely, in ways that add real value rather than noise. Together we work out where it fits best, where it doesn't, and how to get your systems ready to connect.

Get It Done sessions

As a busy manager or practitioner, there are always things on your plate that you intend to get to, but never quite do. In a Get It Done session, we book a time, I keep you accountable, and I support you with any hurdles you hit. By the end you've ticked the task off your list and have a clear roadmap for next steps. Thinking, system setup, technical problem solving, strategy. Whatever's on your plate.

Who I am

I'm Rachel Mackay. I've spent more than twenty years in social sector organisations, as a social worker, a manager and a director, and in every one of those roles I ended up being the person who sorted out the systems. Now it's my whole job. I specialise in helping the helpers, the people who spend their energy helping others.

I don't sell any system, and I take no commissions or referral fees for anything I recommend.
